India Eases Visa Process for Bangladeshis to Boost Trade and Investment

India has simplified visa procedures for Bangladeshi nationals to facilitate travel, trade, and investment, according to Pavankumar Tulsidas Badhe, India’s Deputy High Commissioner in Dhaka. He noted that the Indian High Commission is currently issuing a large number of visas daily.

Speaking during a courtesy call on Md. Fazlul Haque, Administrator of the FBCCI, at the organization’s office in Gulshan on Sunday, Badhe highlighted India’s commitment to strengthening bilateral economic ties. The information was shared in a press release issued by FBCCI.

During the meeting, the Deputy High Commissioner called for expanding bilateral trade and investment, removing tariff and non-tariff barriers, and enhancing commercial connectivity between the two countries.

He placed special emphasis on forming a Business-to-Business (B2B) Task Force to make trade and investment easier. Badhe said his office is maintaining regular communication with both governments to advance the process and sought active cooperation from Bangladesh’s private sector under FBCCI’s leadership.

FBCCI Administrator Md. Fazlul Haque welcomed the proposal, stating that a joint task force could play a vital role in boosting bilateral trade and cooperation. He urged entrepreneurs from both countries to work together in emerging and promising sectors to strengthen economic partnership.
